As, 1963) has spent many years of her life being almost a nomad. She worked as a freelance photographer in London and published her travels in Latin America in the “El Viajero”, travel section of El País in Spain. At the University of Plymouth, in the south of England, she gave photographic essay workshops. She returned to Argentina eight years ago.

For Silvina Sazunic photography is above all revelation. From a childhood that took place between rivers and trees, her images and poems always return to that primordial place where the epiphany of the natural world happens over and over again. In her portraits, the photographer goes to meet the other as a story waiting to be told. She is interested in working and investigating that new space that arises when photography dialogues with text.

Of the few treasures she keeps, one is a letter from John Berger where he tells her how much he liked the unpublished book Storm in the garden. Sometimes, she includes sound, as in the project Trueno de Agua, made in collaboration with the composer and musician Scott Taylor. She has also published three poetry books and one is looking for a publisher.

The eye that travels is her nomadic editorial project, with which she travels to give workshops and publish the images produced.

She was selected and exhibited at the last two Festival de la Luz in Argentina (La costanera-2016-Alianza Francesa de Santa Rosa, and Farewell-2018-Museo de Bellas Artes de La Plata, Emilio Pettorutti). She was also one of the winners of the 2016 Festival de la Luz International Portfolio Review. In 2021, she was selected for Proyecto Imaginario Latinoamérica (PI LATAM 2021).

She has two cats, Tutuna and Panta, many books and continues to organize trips.

www.silvinasazunic.com
contact@silvinasazunic.com
sazunicsilvina@gmail.com

Instagram: silvina.sazunic

————————————————————————————————————–

Fotógrafa, poeta y escritora; Silvina Sazunic (Bs.
